iMovie HD help!!!!

topic posted Sun, May 11, 2008 - 10:41 AM by  HANDBOOK
Hello everybody. I am in need of some help. I am using iMovie HD to edit movies to be posted to my site and am having trouble compressing the final product for my site as a Quicktime movie. ??? The last time I worked with iMovie was about 8months ago and my original notes are missing so if anyone out there can give me a little direction that would be appreciated.

thanks!
Darren

When you are finished editing in iMovie and you click on the drop down window "FILE" you will see "SHARE"
A window will open that list "EMAIL, HOMEPAGE, VIDEO CAMERA, iDVD, QUICKTIME, BLUETOOTH
    Click on QUICKTIME
There will be a sentence which reads

Compress movie for... next to a drop down You options will be
    eMAIL
    WEB
    WEB STREAMING
    CD ROM
    FULL QUALITY DV
    a line and
    EXPERT SETTINGS

    Highlight "Expert settings"

    Click on Share

    A New window will open

    "Save as" ...
Where you want to save it
and below will be two drop down windows and a Button
    EXPORT
    USE
    The button is OPTIONS
Click on the window next to EXPORT Highlight Quicktime move.
with OPTIONS you can customize the Quicktime settings

Hit save and BOOM You're good to go you just saved your film as a QT Movie from iMovie
